Le Douluch is a spacious converted stone barn situated in a tranquil spot high up in the hills overlooking the pretty village of Le Monastere. On a clear day the panoramic views extend 40km into the heart of Aveyron; the view from the master bedroom is particularly outstanding.
The owners have taken great care to ensure that the house, both inside and out, has been sympathetically converted. It retains many original features including its massive oak beams and it has been furnished to a very high standard with a distinctly regional flavour. The fully-fitted and well- equipped kitchen and extremely spacious living accommodation makes this a very comfortable house for six people.
The main entrance opens out on to a patio with barbeque, garden table and chairs with sun parasol - in fact everything you need for lazy days in the sun! Steps lead to the swimming pool which is situated on the upper terrace and can also be reached through French doors from both the twin bedrooms. The pool terrace is surrounded by pretty flower borders and from this area of the garden the views are truly breathtaking.
Le Douluch has two restaurants very close at hand and is well situated for the Golf Club de Mezeyrac. Fifteen minutes by car will take you to the large local supermarket in Espalion, which offers a full range of produce and specialities of the region. Espalion itself is a charming old town with a thriving Friday market, a large range of shops and an extensive selection of restaurants. Estaing, one of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France, is also 15 minutes drive and has a good selection of restaurants, a Post Office, pharmacy, quality gift shops, Tourist Office and a magnificent Chateau overlooking the River Lot
